GROWVA

Process

Nine stages.
No guesswork.

Every project follows the same structured approach — from the first discovery call to the last optimization report. Here's exactly what happens at each stage.

01

Discovery

Understanding the brand, the customer, and where growth is actually stuck. Not what the client thinks the problem is — what the data says it is.

  • Brand and competitive audit — we map the existing landscape before proposing anything
  • Customer research: who buys, how they decide, what stops them from buying
  • Analytics and funnel review — where traffic enters and where it exits
  • Stakeholder sessions to align on goals, constraints, and non-negotiables
  • A written discovery brief that both sides sign off on before we move forward
02

Strategy

A written plan for positioning, priorities, and what success looks like — agreed by all parties before design begins. This is the document that prevents every expensive mistake down the line.

  • Positioning and messaging framework
  • Customer journey mapping — the full path from awareness to repeat purchase
  • Priority list of what to build and in what order
  • KPI agreement — what we're measuring and what good looks like
  • Strategy review session and written sign-off
03

Planning

Sitemaps, user flows, and scope — agreed in writing before design begins. Change orders are expensive; planning is cheap. We do enough of it that changes during development are rare.

  • Full sitemap and page hierarchy
  • User flows for key conversion paths (discovery → product → cart → checkout)
  • Technical scope document — what gets built, what integrations are needed
  • Content requirements — what copy, photography, and assets need to exist
  • Project timeline with milestones and review gates
04

Design

High-fidelity Shopify UI built around your product and your customer — not adapted from a template. Design decisions are documented so the developer who builds it understands the reasoning, not just the pixels.

  • Wireframing for all key page types (homepage, PDP, collection, cart, checkout)
  • High-fidelity design in Figma across desktop and mobile
  • Typography, color, and spacing system finalized
  • Component library for consistency across all templates
  • Design review session with client — two rounds of revisions included
05

Development

Custom Shopify build — clean Liquid code, fast load times, no template debt. Every component is written to spec, not adapted from existing code.

  • Custom Liquid theme development from scratch
  • Integration setup: email, CRM, analytics, loyalty, reviews
  • Performance-budgeted implementation — load time is measured at every milestone
  • Mobile-first responsive build across all breakpoints
  • Staging environment review before QA begins
06

Testing

Cross-device QA, checkout testing, and performance benchmarking. Nothing ships until it has been tested by a human on every major device and browser.

  • Full QA checklist across desktop, tablet, and mobile (iOS + Android)
  • Real checkout flow testing — real orders placed and refunded
  • Core Web Vitals benchmarking against targets agreed in Planning
  • Integration testing — every connected system confirmed working
  • User acceptance testing session with the client team
07

Launch

A coordinated go-live with monitoring from the first visitor. Not a file transfer. A managed event.

  • DNS cutover coordination with minimal downtime window
  • 48-hour active monitoring post-launch — we're watching with you
  • Real-time error tracking and performance dashboard
  • Dedicated support channel for the first week
  • Post-launch report after 7 days summarizing first-week performance
08

Optimization

Real data drives the first round of post-launch refinement. The store that launches is good. The store that exists 60 days later — after real traffic, real sessions, and real data — is better.

  • 30-day and 60-day performance reviews against KPIs set in Strategy
  • Heatmap and session recording review to surface friction points
  • A/B test design and setup for highest-impact pages
  • Copy and UX refinements based on behavioral data
  • Updated optimization roadmap for the next 90 days
09

Growth

Ongoing CRO, retention, and performance work as the brand scales. This is where the initial investment compounds — and where the relationship either continues or concludes.

  • Monthly or quarterly performance retainer options
  • Retention and email/SMS system development
  • Ongoing CRO testing and implementation
  • New feature development as the product line and business grows
  • Annual store audit to ensure the architecture still fits the business

Surprises we haven't planned for

Start Stage One

Every project starts
with a discovery call.

No pitch, no proposal. A real conversation about the brand, the goals, and whether we're the right fit.
